Pocket Libraries
Seattle7Writers collects and donates new and used books to readers in need across the Puget Sound region. Pocket libraries at a wide variety of sites provide invaluable reading material for women, men, and children who are currently without bookshelves of their own. Since 2010, we have donated over 30,000 books to local shelters, food banks, literacy organizations, recovery and counseling sites, and detention centers.
We’d love to have your help! To donate books, please contact [email protected]. In particular we are looking for novels of all kinds, mysteries, histories, biographies, westerns, YA, children’s books, books on parenting and self-esteem, and good books of all varieties...except stories with lots of graphic violence. (Many of these folks have had enough of that in their real lives.)
