Seattle7Writers is dedicated to raising funds and awareness for community literacy and teaching organizations.

In 2010, Seattle7Writers is donating all funds its raises to Seattle’s Writers in the Schools (WITS). Since 1994, WITS has brought professional writers to public schools to inspire students’ understanding of the human experience through reading, writing, and performance. WITS writers-in-residence work with teachers to create a curriculum that gives students an entire class each week to create, present, and receive peer feedback on their writing.

It has been an exciting year! Our 2010 donation goal was $5,000 and to date we have raised $4,761. Thank you to everyone who has so generously donated to the WITS program.
